Mission 40: [Extreme] Cloaked in Silence - Back in Silence
Passing Phantom Pain: We are fighting the Silent One for the second time, but this time in more difficult conditions.
Attention! To unlock this quest, you need to complete the storyline mission 38: Extraordinary. By itself, this does not expand the plot.
This quest is an alternate version of Mission 11: Cloaked in Silence - the difference is that killing a Silent one means the immediate death of the Big Boss. Also, you can't use the chicken hat or slow-motion focus mode - so it's much more difficult.
However, a duel with a female sniper can be ended very simply and effectively. All you have to do is find the girl and then use iDroid to drop sleeping gas shells on her position. This way, you will complete not only the main task, but also one of the additional ones.
Due to the nature of the mission, the equipment and companions you choose don't really matter - the Silent One will almost certainly shoot better and faster than you, so it's almost pointless to fight her. You can use tranquilizing mines or grenades, but you will most likely die before you get close to effectively throwing.
Mission objectives:
Elimination of the Silent;
Decide what to do with Quiet;
Optional mission objectives:
Neutralize it without damaging it with live ammunition;
Neutralize them without using firearms.
Elimination of the Silent
At the beginning of the mission, a sniper rifle will be aimed at you from the top of bolshots mountain - right in front of the shelter where Big Boss is hiding. If you move or put your head over the shelter, the girl will immediately notice it and shoot (probably accurately and fatally). Therefore, it is better not to leave the starting position at all - you can succeed by staying at the same point all the time.
At this stage of the game, you don't need to resort to half measures - you've certainly expanded the mothership enough to be able to summon a box of sleeping gas. Point the binoculars at the girl - if you can't find her, stand up for a moment and then quickly crouch down (the laser pointer will point you to the correct point). Use iDroid and select the missions tab, then [Fire Support]. At this stage, you just need to select the location of the girl as the target of the fall.
