The Clever Apricot
We have an Apricot cat (Mowing), an unscrupulous red-haired mischievous. Of course, it's the only way we get from him, but he also makes us laugh all the time! I'll tell you a funny story.
We feed the cat with dry food. We buy a whole package, put it in the pantry and store it there. But Koska is an insatiable creature, especially in his youth he was like that - no matter how much you put it, it's still not enough. One day they forgot to lock the pantry door. Apricot, the red muzzle, immediately took advantage of this! We hear something rustling somewhere at home. It's not clear where, but it seems like there's a noise coming from the pantry. Let's go and look - there doesn't seem to be anything there. We thought maybe mice, let's call Koska to check it out. Calling, calling, calling, calling, silence. And suddenly on you! Our Apricot comes out - where would you think? From the food package! It turns out that there was food left on the bottom and he couldn't get it, so he chewed a hole in the bag and climbed into it himself. And, apparently, he hadn't eaten enough yet - he didn't want to get out. Or maybe he was waiting for us to forget about him, so that he could get out quietly and no one would find out about this trick of his.
We didn't forget to close the latch anymore. But Koska is a smart cat. He learned how to open this latch with his paw by climbing on a nearby chest of drawers. Then we started pouring the food into five-liter bottles of water: they certainly won't bite through. Apricot thought, thought, thought, thought... I tried to pry the lid with my paw, but it didn't work, and I couldn't chew the plastic either. And that's how smart he is! I finally figured it out. I remembered that you can achieve something from the owners in two ways: either by scratching and biting, or by purring and stroking your feet. And I decided to try it with a bottle. As he began to rub against the lid, it gave way! Unscrewed it! And then it's a small matter: stick your paw into the neck of the bottle and pick up the food with your claws. At that time, of course, we laughed and wondered for a very long time, but then we began to tighten the lids very tightly so that Koska could no longer remove them.
And now our Apricot has become an adult and realized that we feed him enough and that it is not necessary to get food yourself from all the storerooms.
But here's the funny thing: he doesn't notice the food in the bowl. He sees the fresh one when you pour it in, but as long as it stays for a couple of hours, Kosya thinks that his bowl is empty and demands to put food in. Sometimes you'll show him: "Here's your food, Apricot, eat it!", but he still: meow yes meow. But once you put two or three pieces of new food on top of the old one, it pounces right there!
